THEKEN SCIENTIST SPEAKING AT INDO – US SCIENCE & TECHNOLOGY FORUM WORKSHOP
Akron, OH – (February 22, 2007) The Theken family of companies announces Dr. Sunil Saini will be speaking today in Bangalore, India at the Indo – US Science & Technology Forum Workshop on “Developing of Bone Grafts using TheriForm Technology.” TheriForm technology allows for customized shaping of synthetic bone implants that promote bone growth for general orthopedic applications.
With U.S. Government support, Dr. Saini will participate in forming collaborative technology groups between India and the U.S. “I am so pleased to be a part of this workshop creating relationships between the academic, research and government furthering the compatibility of our systems and promoting technology sharing,” said Dr. Saini, Director of Research & Development for Biomaterials at Therics, LLC the biologic company of Theken.
Dr. Saini will be a key speaker at the Indo – US Workshop for “Solid Freeform Fabrication for Tissue Engineering and Biomedical Applications.” The workshop will create a center for “Computer Aided Tissue Engineering” (CATE) that allows closer interaction between academia, research institutes and government and sharing of research formats and infrastructure. The CATE workshop will focus on emerging trends in biomodelling and developing customized implants.
