THEKEN SEEKING FDA CLEARANCE FOR FIVE PRODUCTS IN EARLY 2007
Working Towards Releasing Six Products within Six Months
AANS 2007 Annual Meeting, Washington D.C. – (April 16, 2007) Theken Spine, a member of the Theken Family of Companies, announces that to date this year, it has submitted applications to the Food and Drug Administration (FDA) to receive marketing clearance for five new products.
Throughout 2007, Theken expects to begin marketing the following products:
• Vu Mesh™, PEEK-OPTIMA® Vertebral Body Replacement System
• Atoll™, Cervico-Thoracic Fixation System
• x•POD™ Adjustable Vertebral Body Replacement System
• Coral™ Minimally Invasive System (MIS) with new friction head polyaxial pedicle screw. The new design includes cannulated, fenestrated and solid screws.
• Vu e•POD™, PEEK-OPTIMA® Vertebral Body Replacement System
Private showings for each system will be held at Theken booth #1700 during exhibit hours at the American Academy of Neurological Surgeons (AANS) being held in Washington D.C. April 16-18.
Theken expects to submit a new thoracic plate to the FDA by mid-2007.
